sgttami Posted March 19, 2018 #3 Share Posted March 19, 2018 From my recent experiences, not at all.. In Feb..I had a time of 2:00, got there around 12:00 expecting to wait and no one looked at paperwork or asked. Was on the ship in 20 minutes. In March I had a time of 2:00 but our cruise was delayed with the ship coming in late. Boarded around 7:30PM. No one asked. Going in April. Have a boarding time of 2:00 but turned Platinum....Hoping to be on in 20 minutes LOL but still not planning to be there really early. We'll see... Rare sparks1093 Posted March 19, 2018 #5 Share Posted March 19, 2018 A lot depends on how long the lines are. If the lines are long you'll likely have the experience outlined in post #2. If there are no lines then you will have the experience outlined in post #3.
Jays_Fan Posted March 20, 2018 #6 Share Posted March 20, 2018 Was just on the Pride last week. There wasn't anyone checking the selected check-in times when we arrived. We had 2-2:30, arrived about 2:20, practically no wait. Only delay was the couple in front of us didn't have their forms or ID ready and had to wait for them to dig those out of their carry-on. I think it actually took us longer to walk up the gangway than go through the security and check-in. And I don't mean that in a bad way, there was no delay on the gangway either. I suspect earlier is when they check more closely, but not so much later once there is no crowd.
