leetompkins Posted April 5, 2018 #1 Share Posted April 5, 2018 We are on the Regal Princess that stops in Boston on our New England/Canada Cruise in September. While there we are leaning towards taking the City View Trolley Tour over the Old Town Trolley Tour based on price, free harbor cruise, and padded seats. If you have taken one of these trolley tours can you provide your insight why you chose one over the other? Thank you. Happy Cruising.
Radbooks Posted April 5, 2018 #2 Share Posted April 5, 2018 I did both companies and actually like the Old Town Trolley a little bit better because it goes to quite a few more places, including over to MIT. We also loved the Tea Party museum that is included in one of the packages Old Town offers even more than the harbor tour. Both were very good, but I'd lean towards the Old Town.
leetompkins Posted April 5, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted April 5, 2018 Thank you Radbooks for your perspective regarding the two most popular trolley tours in Boston. I was leaning towards City View but realized Old Town has several more stops around the city. So, will probably go that route. Thanks again. Happy Cruising. Something fun! Posted April 17, 2018 #4 Share Posted April 17, 2018 I would rank the tours as 1. Old Town 2. Duck Boat 3. City View

Grant2000 Posted April 17, 2018 #6 Share Posted April 17, 2018 We visited Boston last autumn on a cruise and took the HoHo bus. The day package include a harbour cruise. There was a bus stop conveniently located right at the cruise terminal which worked out very nicely for us. https://bostonusa.ca/transportation/
Radbooks Posted April 18, 2018 #7 Share Posted April 18, 2018 How far is trolley from pier. We actually did the trolley tours during the days we stayed in Boston after we got off the ship so I don't know how far it is from the pier - it was close to our downtown hotel. You may have to call them and ask... I think one of the companies adds a stop near the pier when a ship is in port.
