Sarah888 Posted April 25, 2018 #1 Share Posted April 25, 2018 Hope this doesnt sound like a silly question but what is the temperature like on board in the public areas and cabins.? (Marella Discovery) Does it get particularly stuffy in places or quite cool? Or does it seem to be a comfortable room temp throughout. Just planning my wardrobe for the Magnificent fjords July 2018. Pensioncruiser Posted April 25, 2018 #2 Share Posted April 25, 2018 Not a silly question at all, you have control in the cabins and its just a normal temp around the ship. Sent from my VF-895N using Forums mobile app
Sarah888 Posted April 25, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted April 25, 2018 Thanks Pensioncruiser for your reply. I'm happy we can control temperature in the cabin because we have an inside plus cabin and would like it cool rather than warm.
Pensioncruiser Posted April 25, 2018 #4 Share Posted April 25, 2018 You probably already know but don't forget to take some form of emergency lighting, we had a power cut on Discovery in February which is not good if you are in an inside cabin[emoji21] fortunately we weren't.[emoji3] Sent from my b1-720 using Forums mobile app

SausPud Posted April 26, 2018 #6 Share Posted April 26, 2018 I believe the average temperature around the ship is a comfortable 20-degree Celsius.
tidespring Posted May 7, 2018 #7 Share Posted May 7, 2018 I believe the average temperature around the ship is a comfortable 20-degree Celsius. I have just returned from a Transatlantic cruise on Discovery. We had a great time. Only downside for us was the temperature in our cabin at night was extremely hot. The quilts on the beds are also very thick and heavy.

This won't change the temperature of the whole ship, just your room.
tidespring Posted May 9, 2018 #9 Share Posted May 9, 2018 Yes we had the temperature control at its coolest setting but still too warm. The cabin steward told me he had someone look at the unit but no change was noticed by us. Other than being too warm at night, we still had a great cruise. We have booked for new years day on D2.
