Hi Jeff,

NJ neighbor here (North Brunswick)!!!

Thank you so, so much for your AMAZING review and Patti's AWESOME pictures!!! My husband and I, along with my sister and brother-in-law (from Louisiana) will be cruising on the Conquest in September to celebrate my sister's 50th!!!! The only new port for us is Amber Cove and I am super-excited after having read your review!! We do already have our cabana reserved for HMC and are going to skip the Grand Turk one this year as we will be venturing onto the beach there for the first time!!! (never made it out of Margaritaville pool area on previous visits!!) But now, after your review and pictures, I am really considering that poolside cabana at Amber Cove!!!!

Thank you again for all of the time and effort you put into this review!!!!

Deena

Howdy neighbor!!! Thanks for reading and your kind words. We really enjoyed our first visit to Amber Cove and would highly recommend getting a pool cabana. There are only four of them, so if one is open grab it! Patti and I agree that we wouldn't get a hillside or ocean cabana there. Enjoy your cruise on the Conquest!

We hung out until about 1:30 and then made our way back to the ship. Back at the cabin we found today’s towel animal along with our tendering information for HMC tomorrow, our Steakhouse reservation for tonight, and our picture from the Diamond party…..

All cabins now have a mini fridge. The cabinets are well vented so you no longer have to keep the cabinet door open for the mini fridge to keep items cold…..

IMG_9157-XL.jpg

This is great news! I hate dealing with ice, melting ice, askng for more ice, melted ice aka buckets of water, etc.

I have lots to keep cold, bottled water, stuff I bring back from the buffet like milk, etc. and there's never enough room for it all.

I'm so glad all cabins now have a fridge. Hopefully Carnival will do this for all their ships as they remodel the cabins.

Thank you so much for this and your other reviews. You have given me the courage to try Carnival for the first time in 2020, on the Elation.

Thanks for following along. I think you will enjoy your experience on the Elation. I'll be back on her in August.

Day # 5 - Half Moon Cay ( 9:30am to 5:30pm ).

We were up at 7am to a cloudy and rainy day. The forecast was for light rain this morning, giving way to sunshine this afternoon. Here are today’s Fun Times…..

IMG_1525.2-XL.jpg

IMG_1525.3-XL.jpg

Here is the general tendering information……

Tendering information for Diamond members…..

IMG_1525.5-XL.jpg

We decided to skip breakfast this morning since we would be getting snacks in our cabana. The Conquest anchored off of Half Moon Cay just before 9:30am, and soon the first tender was on its way to our ship…..

Priority tendering was in the Renoir Restaurant. We got down there right at 9:30. They did a good job in keeping the Faster to the Fun, Platinum, and Diamond people separate……

IMG_1535-XL.jpg

IMG_1534-XL.jpg

As a Diamond member, we met in the Cassat Room where they had coffee, tea, juice, and Danish available for us…….

IMG_1529-XL.jpg

IMG_1530-XL.jpg

IMG_1533-XL.jpg

We were there only a few minutes when they said we could board the first tender. They called each group in order, and soon we were sailing away from the Conquest and heading to Half Moon Cay…..

Ten minutes later we were docked at the tender landing area at Half Moon Cay. We have arrived with the crew and supplies…..

The last tender is at 4:45. We will probably be on that one…..

IMG_1549-XL.jpg

Welcome to Half Moon Cay…..

IMG_1550-XL.jpg

We have made it into the plaza. Even though it looks miserable out, and it is raining lightly, it is quite warm and comfortable. I’m going to be getting wet inside and out anyway, so the rain is no biggie to me……

IMG_1554-XL.jpg

If you need a locker there are some by the first aid station…..

Once done signing in, I make the slow walk along the beach to our cabana. They also have a shuttle if you don’t want, or are not able to walk the distance. Patti is off taking pictures and will join me at the cabana in a little while. This is the Rumrunner Bar and it’s seating area. This is the closest bar to the tender landing area…..IMG_1564-XL.jpg
