siestakeys04 Posted June 7, 2018 #2 Share Posted June 7, 2018 How many people do you have? I haven't sailed the freedom but on the victory we had a table for 10.
apdaisy Posted June 7, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted June 7, 2018 There will be about 22 people in our group. I'm trying to figure out if we'll need 2 or 3 tables. Sent from my LG-H901 using Forums mobile app
Harrier1961 Posted June 7, 2018 #4 Share Posted June 7, 2018 If all of the bookings are linked, carnival will take care of sitting together. Most likely two 10 tops and one 2 top. Or three 8 tops. If you have YTD, god help ya. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
apdaisy Posted June 7, 2018 Author #5 Share Posted June 7, 2018 I do have a YTD. Should I request our tables through him? Sent from my LG-H901 using Forums mobile app
MissKIA Posted June 7, 2018 #6 Share Posted June 7, 2018 Since you have YTD you will likely get whatever is available. Or have long waits if you want something specific. I would hesitate to do YTD with that many people if you want to eat together every night. For what it's worth, we had 16 people on the Magic (Late seating) and we had two tables of 8. apdaisy Posted June 7, 2018 Author #7 Share Posted June 7, 2018 Ok I misunderstood YTD. We actually have early dining. Sent from my LG-H901 using Forums mobile app
SadieN Posted June 7, 2018 #8 Share Posted June 7, 2018 Ok I misunderstood YTD. We actually have early dining. Sent from my LG-H901 using Forums mobile app They’ll split you up into several tables. You’ll have the same waitstaff.
Alaskan Joe Posted June 7, 2018 #9 Share Posted June 7, 2018 Ok I misunderstood YTD. We actually have early dining. Sent from my LG-H901 using Forums mobile app If you have early dining for 22 people then you should be good. What I recommend is, as soon as you board have someone from your party of 22 go to the MDR and talk to the Maitre D'. In my experience over 5 cruises (different cruise lines), if we go talk to the Maitre D' first thing they seem to be able to help out. I have seen/heard people talking to the Maitre D' the second night and he was like sorry everything is full now what you have is what you have. Thus is why we always go first thing even if we do not need anything special, but just to confirm our table and time.
apdaisy Posted June 7, 2018 Author #10 Share Posted June 7, 2018 Great advice! I'll make sure I do that as soon as we board. We have FTTF so that should help too. Sent from my LG-H901 using Forums mobile app
WiCruiseDreamer Posted June 7, 2018 #11 Share Posted June 7, 2018 Can anyone tell me how many people can sit per table on the Freedom? Sent from my LG-H901 using Forums mobile app If you have the booking numbers for all of your group, who wish to eat together, simply contact Carnival and have them linked together. This way they will put them at either 8 or 10 tops and near each other. We did this last year, had 3 8 tops next to each other. Worked out great for us. We did, however, confirm as soon as each guest got their sail & sign cards that the table numbers were 1 of 3 tables. If we had found that someone had a different table, we would have just gone to see the Maitre'd, I believe they are available about 3pm, and made them aware of any issues. Have fun and enjoy your cruise.
