Spare card for room lights

Magic & Breeze require a card for the lights - we use an old cruise card from another line. That way it can't be confused with the current card. We leave it in the slot the whole week anyway & just manually turn the lights out when leaving the cabin.

The air conditioner is NOT connected to the same line as the light switch. That would be dumb. It is separate, and will run whether the lights are on or off.

I have found that, in certain hotels (and I thought on ships, but maybe I was mistaken), the AC would not run if you took the card out and left the room. It was their way of "saving energy," and it sucked. That's when I started putting business cards in the slots.
