Carnival Pride Cat. 8 or 11?

My one and only cruise was on the pride in a 8I which is on the Panorama deck with an extended balcony and we thought it was great. I have heard that the 11's are obviously more spacious and have a bathtup and VCR, so maybe if you have a child it might be worth the money for ease in bathing him/her and the videos. But, personally, the category 8 has the balconey so you can enjoy the views, and it is plenty big. I would take the $400 difference total and do fun excursions like the jungle canopy tour or swim with dolphins or ...well, there are a lot of other places I could spend $400.

Have a great trip aboard the pride...we had a great honeymoon and met many wonderful people.

That extended balcony would keep me put. Although the 11's have bigger cabins then 8's if you have a true extended balcony stay where you are. Is this your first cruise? If not on your last cruise how often were you in your cabin.

Mini-suite is definitely worth the extra money. The balcony is much wider than an extended balcony category 8. The extended balcony is deeper but the same width as a normal category 8 balcony. The bathroom and the dressing area alone is worth the extra money. The bathroom has a jacuzzi tub/shower and a double bowl vanity sink. There is much more closet space as well.

Heck I was happy with the cat8 reg balcony for all the time I spent in my room and on the balcony..While I enjoyed the balcony I didnt camp out there, I rather enjoyed the ship and all it had to offer..
