Fort Lauderdale Hotels for family w/ small kids

Hello,

 

Looking for a hotel for a day before we depart on our cruise in November. Would prefer a hotel that has a suite to put my kiddos in a separate room, has a pool, is in walking distance to a restaurant options, and offers transportation to the port.

 

Kiddos are 2, 5, and 7.

Lago Mar just 2 miles from Port Everglades perfectly fits the bill. Lots of suite accommodations with extra space for a family. Two pools one for families and the other adults only. Right smack on the sand so unlike so many other Fort Lauderdale hotels no street to cross. Prices for meals are very fair and children's menus are available for every meal. Also there is a large playground near the pool, this is very rare in any South Florida hotel. Yes the decor is old Florida and a little worn but all things considered can't be a better place in the area.

Embassy Suites is mentioned almost every day, and meets your needs perfectly. You could look around the board for the many other hotel threads.

Several extended stay, suite hotels near the FLL airport - do not worry about "free" shuttles as the distances are not great and taxis/Uber are cheap. You should be able to get UberXL or a mini-van cab to the port for under $20
