Venice Cruise Port

Recommended Posts

It is a very short walk. However, it is along the road, so not the nicest.

From the station, cross the bridge to Piazzale Roma. From there you can either walk to the cruise port or take the people mover. The people mover is very cheap, so I would probably use that unless it is really busy, which it sometimes is on embarkation/disembarkation day.

Question: we are using NCL transfer to airport on day of disembarkation ... is the bus located dockside or do we need to get back to Piazzale Roma to get on the bus?

It is in a car park about 150m from the building where the ship docks.

It will depend on where the ship will dock - it might be a short one or a long one (especially with luggage).

Not for us, though.

we are arriving by train into main Venice train station, Santa Lucia and going on Adriatic cruise on Star. We will only have carry on luggage and wanted to know how far and easy is it to walk to cruise terminal?

Other people have offered good advice, but if it were us travelling on train we'd get off the train at Venice Mestre and take a taxi directly to the ship terminal. It's a fixed taxi rate (can't remember, but it was about 35 euros).

Alternatively, there is a taxi rank at P. Roma if you don't fancy a walk to ship with luggage. Costs 20 euros.
