You do have to watch your step in Zanzibar, though. If you're too busy taking pictures, you just might step in something stinky like I did!

We managed to avoid the stinky!  Thankfully!  We did encounter many clinging vines though.  Folk very keen to be our personal guides.  One fellow followed us for almost 15 minutes.

Have you considered Pepper spray? 🙂

Loving reliving your adventure M. I was struggling to keep up while away due to ships t'intenet being poorly but all caught up now.

Awesome! Was looking forward to my daily fix from this trip.

You got to Madagascar! Or at least a little island off the main island. Did you make a stop on the mainland too, or was Nosy Be your only stop there?

Next time you go back you should rough it like we did for 2 weeks. 😉

Nosy Be/Komba was the only port we visited for Madagascar.  And having read your blog on the trip JP, I would love to "rough it" the way you did.  🙂

Yes, you are right...we were hardly "roughing it" except for the luxury mud huts in one location. It wasn't quite up to Silversea standards but still, one of my all-time favourite trips.

Notice that I translated that into Canadian just for you! 😄

Does not seem so long ago since you posted the stunning photographs of lunch at the KWC Cellars with the Tygerberg Childrens Choir and Amira
