Aruba New Years Day

Anyone have experience with what is open on New Years Day in Aruba?

I haven't been there on New Years, but I doubt that much will be open. Family is very important to the Aruban people,  and most of them will be spending the day with their families.  Probably,  some of the tours will still operate, but I doubt if many stores will be open.  I'd book something far in advance.
