Short 3-4 day cruises to Victoria/Nanaimo out of Seattle discontinued?

A few years ago RCI started doing short 4 day cruises to Victoria and Nanaimo out of Seattle on the Explorer of the Seas in May. I assumed they were successful, as they added the same cruise in September, and added some 3 dayers to Victoria only. Now they seem to be completely discontinued!! Does anybody know what happened? Why were these cruises canceled?

Royal has been doing these three and four night cruises immediately before and after their Alaska cruise season using Explorer of the Seas. Explorer is being replaced with the larger ship Ovation for the 2019 Alaska cruise season. Ovation has no short or week-long Pacific Northwest or Pacific Coastal cruises scheduled for 2019. Many of us on the west coast are hoping these cruises will be resumed in 2020.

We depart today for Explorer's final Pacific Coastal cruise.

Successful for whom? Given the pricing on those sailings, it's no wonder RCI discontinued them on Ovation.

+1 Biker is totally correct ~ OP, these short cruises were a major bust and given away... yes, for free... all three years to Casino Royale guests because they could not fill the ship. The last sailing ever just sold 1 month before the sailing date for $199 for an interior.
