Noticed Escape arrived today for their usual stay in Kings Wharf until Friday, however she unberthed from the dock a bit ago (515PM EDT) and is just stationary a few hundred yards off the dock. Never saw that before. Anyone on board care to share? Just curious is all.

Edit: Disregard. Looks like they had to turn her around into the wind and current. Both are Pretty strong.

That’s never happened to my knowledge before.

We received a letter from Captain Giovanni Cutugno that said (in part) "As part of international stipulation, our Compulsory Required Lifeboat Davit Test will take place on Norwegian Escape tomorrow, October 3. It will be necessary to change ship's alongside position from Starboard side to Port side between 6:00PM and 7:00PM." They had performed these tests on the port side boats today (Wednesday) and now can test the starboard side before we leave for NY on Friday. I found it fascinating to be standing on the pier watching this. It was like missing the ship and having it come back for you.
