Dragonpatch Posted November 28, 2018 #1 Share Posted November 28, 2018 Hello, We are newbie cruisers, and decided to go with "all-inclusive" in hopes of making things easier on selves We booked a Regent Seven Seas Caribbean cruise, with an excursion every day in port. Now this may be a funny question, but I wonder if there is time to have breakfast on shore excursion days? These ships apparently don't have buffets - you have to go to a restaurant, be seated and served. Would it make sense to ask for breakfast things (Greek yogurt, fruit etc) in our cabin fridge, so we can just eat and go? Thanks!
Clarea Posted November 29, 2018 #2 Share Posted November 29, 2018 You might have better luck getting responses if you also post this on the dedicated Regent forum: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/106-regent-seven-seas-cruises/
zqvol Posted November 29, 2018 #3 Share Posted November 29, 2018 We have sailed the luxury lines, including Regent many times. You will have more than enough time for breakfast. It is also not right to say that they don't have a buffet. Their buffet is not like on the mass market lines but is very efficient. If you want egss, pancakes or waffles those are prepared to order, but other things, such as fruit are available buffet style. A luxury line is not going to let you go hungry. Breakfast will begin early if you have an early arrival.
Dragonpatch Posted November 29, 2018 Author #4 Share Posted November 29, 2018 Great! Thanks. I realize this cruise is partly about food :-) We want to be smart about planning our daily routine, when we are just two out of hundreds trying to accomplish the same things. Everyone's comments have been so helpful.
cb at sea Posted December 1, 2018 #5 Share Posted December 1, 2018 You must realize that not EVERYONE onboard will be rising early for excursions. many folks will sleep in and take their time. You will be able to have a sit-down breakfast without rushing about!

Maybe after we have taken some cruises, we too will be able to take a more nonchalant attitude toward excursions. Since this is our first cruise, everything is exciting (and maybe even a little intimidating in places).
