Lanyards

We have only cruised Carnival before, so, I was wondering if on the Mariner you can get a hole punched in your sail and sign card and get a lanyard on board.

 

It makes it a lot easier to keep up with.

I know they will punch a hole in your card at the Guest Relations desk but I think you have to purchase the lanyard or bring your own.

I had a plain black lanyard--got it at Office Max. Used it for a long time--then while on a cruise--planning a family cruise--I bought us all "RCCL" lanyards while I was onboard. I gave them out to the "future" cruisers. I think they were about $3.50. They are blue and say Royal Caribbean on the sides.

On Celebrity and Princess they punched my card at Customer Relations - I assume they will on RC also.

Sometimes...on some ships...you can go to the Casino and get those keychain like things (kind of like a plastic spring) that they use on the cards for the slot machines...and they will give you one for free. Sorry..not quite sure how to describe it but it hooks to you and to the card and streches far enough for you to be seated while the card is in the machine. They can be used for holding on to your room card too..

By the way, on ONE cruise, when we went and asked at the Purser's Desk for someone to please punch a single hole in my card for my lanyard, they looked at me like I had three heads.

 

"How can we do that? Then everyone will think that you are between 18 & 21, and will not serve you?"

 

I said, "BRING IT ON!" LOL! I should be so lucky that someone would refuse to serve me alcohol because they think that I'm under 21!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
