Cruise Ship Activities Open in Port

We have sailed all over the caribbean but never Bermuda.  We like to sail for the ship and the NCL Encore looks enticing.  Are ship activities open in port?  I understand the casino opens from 9pm onwards in port?  What about the race track?  pools?  other ship amenities?

Also I'm sailing with three boys ages 11, 11, 10.  Is Bermuda different from the carribean or more the same?  Something unique about the island?  We are flying in from Texas and I need to be convinced that Bermuda will be worth it..... much easier to fly to caribbean but we are looking for something different.

Thanks in advance.

Bermuda is very different than the Caribbean. If you are looking for something different then Bermuda fits with that. I go to Bermuda for the destination, not for the ship. Clean, friendly island people, beautiful pink sand beaches. No one will bother you to buy things on the beaches. You can rent Boston Whaler and Pontoon boats. Easy to get around. Safer than most of the Caribbean. Read the Go to Bermuda web page as a start.
