Up to 60% off Solstice suites?

Got excited when I got an email promoting 60% of Solstice suites for select sailings Jan - March 2019. Jumped onto the website ..... 60% off and a Royal Suite is only slightly less than we are paying for our 17 night cruise in Sept 2019. What the? 60% off too much is probably still too much/the 60% off reflects what the market is prepared to pay or am I missing something?

Rule number 1 of cruise line pricing: Never charge less than the market is willing to pay.

 

That said, these prices are reasonably good by Celebrity suite standards; certainly they're often more expensive.

Brochure prices are always ridiculously high, so 60% off is still a lot of money..
