Dream secrets and advice?

Recommended Posts

We haven't sailed with Thomson/Marella for about six years but have now booked a cruise for next October with the Dream.  Are there any secrets, tips or advice that would be helpful to us please?  We're a couple of young-at-heart pensioners😄

Hi essexlass2 what info are you looking for? We have sailed on Dream since it joined the fleet many years ago and are on her again in a few weeks so we obviously like her but don't think she has any secrets 🤔 we have cruised on older and the newest tui ships and like them all so feel you will have no issues. If you have any specific questions just ask and I will try to help but we all have different expectations typically we always, sad I know, book the same cabin but it suits us. 👌

Hi Pensioncruiser, we'd just like to know anything maybe special or out of the ordinary that's freely available really, such as any good viewing spots, exchange library, free ice creams, etc, etc.  We've mostly cruised on P&O or Royal Caribbean ships previously.

We enjoy most of the areas, evening's we prefer the balcony in the theatre and just love Waters edge particularly the outside area, unfortunately for us it's a smoking area😕 we also like Tides. Yes you can get ice cream free from a dispenser but not all day and it has a good library best on arrival day as cruisers leave books they have finished. Have a great one and if you have any further questions please don't hesitate to ask.

One tip (assuming they havent completely revamped the ship in 2 years) as comfortable as the top deck rattan sunbeds look if it is a breezy day you may end up doing 'the starfish' to hold the mattresses down! We have sailed Dream and Celebration but Dream was our favourite.
