Travel Documents Arrived Today 🤪

Recommended Posts

Our first SD cruise and our docs arrived today.  Nice little info packet with luggage tags and straps.  After this horrible cold snap, this trip is going to be one of our best!

Ours arrived this week.  Nice new presentation.

Does this vary between TAs?  We have only received emailed paperwork to print and sign ourselves.

I don't believe so. We have used the same agent for SD (and predecessors) since 1996 and presentation and delivery of cruise docs has varied wildly over that time.  We received cruise tix by email last December and a fancy box containing tix, itinerary, luggage tags and baggage straps for our upcoming voyage.

A number of years ago, when SD was first venturing into electronic communications, they offered a discount to those who were willing to accept e-docs for their voyage. We opted in at that time. However, there is no longer any discount, and no financial advantage to us (only to SD) to receive the e-docs. Consequently, last year we contacted our TA and asked her to request the box for future cruises. It is so much more fun!

I agree and will make this request for future voyages.  Thanks for the info, Zimmy!

My nephew and wife used same TA company as us different agent, and they only received email.  I believe it depends on what they request.
