upwarduk Posted February 13, 2019 #1 Share Posted February 13, 2019 We are booked on Any Time Dining on Explorer of the Seas. I usually go to the dining room on the afternoon of embarkation ( on Celebrity) to see the the Maitre D to pre order my evening meal, as I am Dairy Intolerant. I have already informed the Special Needs dept. My question is, which dining room is used for Any Time dining and can I pre book a time, as can be done on Celebrity. Clarea Posted February 13, 2019 #2 Share Posted February 13, 2019 There is only one main dining room (with 3 decks) on Explorer, and the My TIme deck might change as needed. Go to the entrance on deck 3, they will direct you if necessary. You can prebook times using your Cruise Planner on Royal's website.

LeeW Posted February 13, 2019 #4 Share Posted February 13, 2019 Waiters won't know first night if you have food issues, but they will call their Head Waiter over to discuss menus. He/she will give you their card and will stick with you for the entire cruise. They will also bring the next evening menu over and discuss it before you leave. They may or may not update your dining reservations to be with the same wait staff for the entire cruise, or you can stop by the front desk and do it yourself as you leave. Not required, but easier if you have the same staff for the cruise. Head waiter will come to you if you eat at a different table. You may not even need to pre-order - head waiter may just have you avoid sauces.
