tgh Posted February 13, 2019 #1 Share Posted February 13, 2019 Seeking opinions about the type and style of shore excursions likely to be offered on a Cloud Svalbard circumnavigation. Will we get the chance to move along ashore , or will it all be a sedate wander ? It seems that there are heaps of boots available on board, negating the need to rent or pack. In the Antarctic we slogged along in wellies when most of the time regular hiking boots would have been fine. An occasional wet landing requires protection but a light pair of motorcycle overboots come up to the knees , are easy on and easy off , and take up little room in the back pack. Rare RachelG Posted February 14, 2019 #2 Share Posted February 14, 2019 We have done this twice. I bring my hiking shoes, not boots, but waterproof. Borrow boots from the ship.
