Cabin 3433

Has anyone stayed in cabin 3433 on the Amsterdam?  I would really appreciate any feedback or pictures.  Thank you!

We had a similar cabin on the Maasdam but forward 3314 and this did not spoil our cruise.  We enjoyed the nearness of the promenade deck.

Yes, 4 or 5 feet to the left as you exit the cabin. Some people are bothered by people walking the promenade, but we like the convenient access and have chosen promenade deck cabins 4 or 5 times. The only bad one we had was under the galley, but 3433 is not. The "truncated triangle" areas on the two decks above are emergency exit stairwells from the MDR, which are rarely used by anyone.

Yes, right outside your hallway door is the doorway to the aft deck of the promenade.  The doorway to the outside is single-wide, but two doors in sequence with a small vestibule in between.  It's not that easy to get through both doors if you have mobility issues, in which case the double-doors near the elevator lobby would be easier.  m--

PS if you google for HAL facts you will find a site with photos of cabins, ship interiors etc.  Look for R-Class for the Amsterdam photos (Amsterdam is in the same class as Rotterdam, first built of the class thus the R.)

If you want a very easy access to the Promenade deck from your cabin, book one of the Lanai cabins.  They have a magnetic locked sliding glass door exiting right out onto the deck, with 2 lounge chairs reserved just for your cabin.  You get a small proximity card that you wave by a sensor to open the door from the outside.   People walking by cannot see in through the reflective glass coating, even at night with all of the cabin lights on.  I tried it, and you can't see anything, plus if you actually tried to put your nose to the glass door, you might be thrown into the brig for being a pervert.
