Easy question please for the seasoned cruisers: My carry-on for air travel never includes the shaving kit anymore because it has little Swiss Army knife, nail clippers, etc that would be confiscated. Am I OK carrying on these articles (in the dop kit) for the cruise. I've read where you'll need them if the checked suitcases don't arrive in time for dinner?

You will have no problems clearing cruise ship security with those items.

You should check out the new TSA rules - many of the items you've gotten used to leaving out is now permissable (like small scissors, etc.). However, lighters are still a no no - ask my DH, whose lighter got confiscated in San Juan a week and a half ago!
