Ang16430 Posted June 12, 2019 #1 Share Posted June 12, 2019 I booked joining balconies for my family and I. My question is can they open the door separating the balconies because we are one family or are we stuck with two small balconies?
Lottacruises Posted June 12, 2019 #2 Share Posted June 12, 2019 #me You can ask them to open it, but now you have allowed your neighbors to come look in your windows whenever they want. If you're good with that, just ask the room steward. They will get it done for you.

The door between the rooms will be open all the time anyways🤷🏻♀️
Lottacruises Posted June 12, 2019 #4 Share Posted June 12, 2019 Oh, go for it then! I think they get maintenance to do it, but I seem to remember once the steward had the tool. Be sure to have the other cabin adult handy when you ask, to give permission for the other balcony. Have fun!
Rare Essiesmom Posted June 13, 2019 #5 Share Posted June 13, 2019 If you have connecting cabins, with a door between, if you open the balcony divider, it will block one of the doors to the balcony. That means you will have access to the balcony though only one of the cabins. Assuming you are not on a Spirit class ship (Miracle, Legend, Pride.). EM If this is the case, the partition can be completely removed. We've had this done on several of our cruises.
