Dublin City tours, not HO HO

I was told  you'll sit a lot in traffic on the HO HO bus.

You can get stuck, but it's also about time of day. HOHO on a Saturday/Sunday or in between morning and evening commute traffic work just fine. I've been to Dublin countless times and to be frank the HOHOs when done at the right time aren't a terrible way to get around-- you'll save alot vs taking a taxi/uber places as some of the sights like Guinness are on the outskirts of town.

There are plenty of private tours you can book and plenty of reviews about them online. Unless they are walking they do get stuck in the same traffic the busses do. Most of Dublin is easily done on your own and if you have an outline of what you'd like to do you could walk most of it yourself and then use a taxi or Uber to get to the slightly out of the way attractions without having to pay a guide.
