Any Tips for Trans-Pacific Sailing?

Your 29 day voyage is actually a 7 day from Sydney to Auckland and a 22 day from Auckland to L.A. According to the Princess FAQ's the 7 day voyage should have 2 formal nights and the 22 day voyage should have 4 formal nights. This is what I would plan for. The ship's staff could adjust the number of formal nights to as few as 4. A 29 day voyage is 5 minimum. What's the answer? Somewhere between 4 and 6.
