WeIsCruisin Posted September 8, 2019 #1 Share Posted September 8, 2019 Has anyone done chefs table on Mariner? Any details would be appreciated, such as location on the ship, recent wine pairings, menu, etc. Tried searching and couldn't find anything. Clarea Posted September 8, 2019 #2 Share Posted September 8, 2019 Last I recall was that the location was on the landing between two of the decks in the MDR. Not a quiet area.

Not a quiet area. We went to a Chef's Table in that location once. Never again! The Dining Room noise was very loud in that location and we could not hear the Chef or the Sommelier when they were speaking. The table was large and round, so due to the noise and distance across the table, you could only converse with those sitting right next to you. The food was good but the experience was awful. I read very similar accounts anytime someone mentions that location for Chef's Table.
jdg623 Posted September 9, 2019 #5 Share Posted September 9, 2019 Disappointed to hear this as we thoroughly enjoyed our Chef's Table experience on Radiance and have a couple of upcoming Mariner cruises with extra OBC we were considering spending on the Chef's Table. I don't think we'd enjoy this location. Is it unique to Explorer class (or Mariner itself)? Having the private room on the Radiance really enhanced our experience. We will definitely check out the location on future cruises before we reserve.
