Rare crewsweeper Posted September 10, 2019 #2 Share Posted September 10, 2019 You mean this place? https://st-maarten.com/index.php/blog2/1638-small-is-beautiful-pelikaan-is-st-maarten-s-own-craft-brewery-by-chris-morvan Also at www.pelikaanbrewery.com It's just down the road from the Topper's Rhum Distillery, near the Island Water World. East of the airport. About 7KM (4-4.5 miles) from the cruise pier. Taxi is best way there. You can tact them to make sure they are open and get specific directions. Roads can be a little tricky in that area.

Zach1213 Posted September 17, 2019 #5 Share Posted September 17, 2019 I haven't been to the brewery, but had a couple of their beers recently whilst working for a few days in SXM. The beer is...okay. If you're a true craft beer snob, it'll be a bit disappointing. Looks like Untappd rates it as a 3.51, so that appears to be the general consensus amongst us beer nerds. But it's kinda like Pirate Republic in Nassau - it tastes better because of where you are (and the fact that you'll be on vacation) versus if you were drinking it in your basement in Mississauga or Hamilton.
Rare crewsweeper Posted September 17, 2019 #6 Share Posted September 17, 2019 I think that's the key. And whether or not it is better than the commercial stuff. I wouldn't expect too many imperial IPAs or all the juice lab stuff you see Stateside. But would imagine the lagers and pale ales would be decent, if cold.
