MSC currently accepts the following debit cards, Maestro, Visa Debit, Visa Electron, MasterCard Debit. Make sure to call your bank to make notes that you'll be traveling. Also, you'll need to add Paris to your list of "destinations" because MSC banks out of Paris for most of it's transactions. If you do decide to use a CC I'd definitely do the same thing! SteelCruisin Posted October 1, 2019 #3 Share Posted October 1, 2019 Where you may have trouble using a pre-paid debit card is putting unused funds back on it at the end of the cruise...not sure if MSC is able to do that or not or if the card allows it. Rare CruiseIreland Posted October 1, 2019 #4 Share Posted October 1, 2019 I used a Revolut prepaid debit(Visa) on Meraviglia in August. They put a hold of €320 and completed the payment within a few days, refunding the unused element of the hold.
jdvmd Posted November 1, 2019 #5 Share Posted November 1, 2019 If you are thinking about using prepaid visa debit cards, there is usually terminology in the terms and conditions that doesn't allow for use with cruises.
