Table Chart

How would you know before boarding where your table is in the first place?, besides if the ship is close to be full all the tables are assigned already, they aren't going to move you to someone elses assigned table before first talking to them, the reason is because if someone else checks out their dining assignment once they board, RCCL just can't go moving around people like that.

Best thing to do is once you board is go straight to the Dining Room and check where your table is at, The Dining Room and table number will be on your sea pass card, if after that you don't like where your table is, you then go and see the maitre de that will be stationed out in front of the dining room at a certain time that should be listed in your Compass Paper and request a change, he will then either offer you something or take your name if something opens up somewhere and call you, you can not just pick out which table you like and get it, doesn't work like that because other people might have already seen where there table is that you want.

Last cruise we went to DR to ck out our table location for 8. Fine. Went directly back to cabin & there was a little note saying they'd changed us. Checked that out & it was 4 top. Ok, DH doesn't want to make a fuss. When we went to dinner our tablemates were a middle aged widow & her m-i-l who had to be assisted w/ordering, eating & could not hear. Now these were very nice people but not a good situation for dinner conversation and esp. for DH. I felt guilty but did request an 8 top and got it. 7 nights is a long time not to be having a good time. So don't be surprised if you are changed after boarding and do insist on what you had. The MD was not too happy about it..maybe because we didn't hand him a $20 bill to correct their change! BTW, this was the Mariner 2nd seating and there were lots of empty chairs @ the large tables.
