Yelapa & Majahuitas: Beach, Snorkeling & Waterfall

We are booked on the Carnival Panorama for spring break, previously we have been to Las Caletas and the kids loved it but they are too old to go to the kids area now. This looks similar, curious if anyone has done this excursion & if you liked it?

I did it on HAL in 2015 and loved it. The beach at yalapa was spectacular. I also enjoyed the walk up to the falls.  I did not go snorkeling but many others did. The waters where we stopped for snorkeling had a lot of tiny (2-3 inch) jelly fish and lots of people got stung.

Hopefully by the time you cruise all will be well in Yelapa.  Our friends loved it so much the first time they went, when we suggested a cruise they wanted to do Mexican Riviera again because of Yelapa.  We were supposed to do that excursion next week while on a Princess cruise but it was cancelled.  A few weeks ago the town had quite a bit of damage due to flooding.
