Dubai DXB T3 to T1

We are meeting in Dubai for a cruise - one person is flying in from NZ on EK landing at T3 and 2 are flying in from LHR on BA landing at T1.

The T3 person is scheduled to land earlier. If all goes to plan, after she has collected her luggage how is it best for her to get to T1 to meet with the others.

On line it only talks about being in transit which she will not be?

Or is it easier to abandon meeting up, and each person gets a cab to the cruise terminal independently?

TIA

Just use the Metro.  It goes from terminal 3 to terminal 1.  Decide on a solid meeting place and you should be good to go.

Edit:. There's free WiFi on the metro in the event you need to email your party. WhatsApp and Skype may not work.

I believe there is a shuttle bus between the two terminals but don't know where it operates from or whether it is for flight ticket holders only however, as the above poster suggested the Metro is an easy option.  The directions to the Metro are clearly indicated in both terminals and it's a two minute ride...

Thanks Anne.

Do you know how much the metro ticket is please? I think it is AED4?

As she is elderly could a cab be another option?

I don’t know but as it’s only one stop then it should only be a few Dirhams.  Yes, she could get a taxi but it will be considerably more expensive as there is a fixed Dhs.25 airport surcharge fee plus whatever the metered fare is.... and whilst the terminals are next door to each other the route to drive from one to the other would be quite circuitous!!!
