JVanDermark Posted January 6, 2020 #1 Share Posted January 6, 2020 Hi our group with 2 kids ages 6 & 8 will be in Cozumel for 10 hours. Does anyone have any recommendations to do with kids? Also are you allow to metal detect there? Thanks
JohninDC Posted January 6, 2020 #2 Share Posted January 6, 2020 Not sure about metal detectors? 🤔 How old are the kids? Families with toddlers are attracted to the kiddie water park at Playa Mia. Older kids love the water toys at a number of beach clubs - paradise Beach, Mr. Sanchos, etc. Chankanaab offers a nice beach, separate snorkeling area, small pool, sea lion and other shows, optionto swim with the dolphins ($$$) - adult admission is about $20 each. If you are interested in history try one of the ship tours to the mainland to see the Mayan ruins.
c-leg5 Posted January 6, 2020 #3 Share Posted January 6, 2020 For that age, I would second Chankanaab. There is also laser tag and zip lines for additional charge. For a Mayan experience get a driver and try Pueblo de Maiz and finish off at one of the beach clubs. There is also a planetarium, but we haven’t tried that and you would need to check opening times.
