On Star, instead of putting an amount of money on the cruise card at the start (or during) the cruise, and using it like a debit card (the current system on Sky & Sun), everything gets charged to the cruise card and at the end of the cruise the total amount is charged to the nominated credit card, or can be paid in cash at the Pursers desk.

 

Things are starting to get clearer...! We can only hope that we do have the option of putting cash onto the kid's cards to allow them to operate as debit cards....maybe things will have changed by Sept.! However, as we can get a daily record of expenditure from the purser, we'll all see pretty quickly where our money's going.
