Hilton or Marriott Properties Near Tampa Cruise Port

Hi I am sailing out of Tampa in Dec;  I have lots of Hilton and Marriott Points;  can you recommend or fill me in on hotels within a few miles from Tampa cruise Port?  Thank

Tampa Marriott Water Street is walking distance.  Embassy Suites is a block north of the Marriott.  I think the Marriott just went through renovations so it should be nice.

Thanks camarodrivenrs;  the website said it was remodeled; and website also mentioned the JW Marriott was opening this Sep;  it will be located next to current Marriott.  Have a nice day.  I just booked 4 rooms at the Marriott

I live across the channel from the Marriott. It is beautiful, and they are adding on a JW Marriott, but be prepared; all of Water Street is under construction.

pauly,  thanks for feedback;  Marriott website says the JW will open this fall; like Sept.  We booked Marriott because it is close to cruise port and it looks like it has good views.  We will uber from airport to hotel.  Is there anywhere to eat other than hotel?
