Food Banks Need You

I have always been a bit on the shy side when looking at charities and usually my only regular donation has been to the RNLI as I am always amazed that they go out to save us in seas I would not consider safe even in a larger ship.

However I have noticed that our local Food Banks are requesting donations due to unprecedented demand on them, so tomorrow I have a boot load of goodies to take to one of our local ones and have also raided our stock at work for those much sought after loo rolls and disposable gloves.

I realise that many here will be a bit short as well but If you can spare a few things I am certain these centers will be grateful for your contributions and perhaps voluntary assistance if you can.

Stay safe everyone.

Well done Steve.

I'm sure you are aware, but the food banks are a bit selective on what they can take..well, the one in Eastleigh is..

They can only take non perishables, even bread etc needs to have 3 days clear sell by date.

We should all do what we can if we can.

Thanks Steve.

We were trying to donate lots of bacon/sausages and bread etc, the contents of our works cafe, but they couldn't take them, I think refrigeration was the issue.

They went to good causes anyway.
