Rare crewsweeper Posted June 11, 2020 #4 Share Posted June 11, 2020 Sad. But wasn't this more of a longer term visitor attraction as most cruises depart before sunset.
PelicanBill Posted June 18, 2020 #5 Share Posted June 18, 2020 They are trying to raise it today. Their fundraiser was successful enough to get a salvage crew to come in, Apparently it was swamped and has little hull damage and they are hopeful. True it's not really a cruise friendly thing given came back at 8pm but it was iconic to see it in the water.
PelicanBill Posted June 29, 2020 #6 Share Posted June 29, 2020 After their equipment was stolen (!), and two attempts that did not succeed, a third attempt June 25 raised the ship to float again. It was towed in and now the hard work to clean it, and I would guess a full tear down on the engine.
