For those who fly in, do you fly into MIA or FLL for a Miami cruise and why? Cost, more convenient schedules, less hectic airport, share your tips? How many of you fly out the day AFTER a cruise to avoid the crush on Monday or Sunday?

It all depends on price. We are flying into Ft. Lauderdale this time because we were able to use our air miles for one of the tickets. We have only been to Miami once and this time we will have the chance to see another city.

MIA hands down. Due to the last minute booling on Radiance last week we flew into MIA and out of FLL. FLL was a mess. It was swarming with cranky travelers, unclean, the employees were unfriendly and things were out of control. They told me it's like that every weekend! A bad ending to a terrific week aboard the Radiance.

First cruise we booked air through the cruiseline. We went in/out of FLL. The flights were ok, ground transport through line was not. :( This time I booked air separately. FLL was cheaper and we had more flights to choose from.

We flew into FLL, rented a car from Alamo for like $35 and drove to Miami where we stayed the night. The next morning we took the car to Alamo's location at Miami airport and they shuttled us to the port for free. When we returned we purchased bus transfer tickets from RCCL the day before we got off the ship. This also lets you be in the first departure group if you have an early flight. We were able to make a 10:30am flight with an hour to spare.
