Open air space

We have been on the Seaside, and the Meraviglia. We preferred the Seaside as it had more open space to sit outside, especially by the buffet restaurant.   How is the Divina for open space,  or any of the other ships that sail from Florida.

We were on Divina in March 2020. There is a promenade deck that's open, but no deck chairs. The top/upper decks are open, and have lounge chairs, but little to no shade. As I recall, the sides of the pool deck itself are glassed in, with shade depending on the angle of the sun; it has tables and chairs. There's a breeze from the pool itself being open to the air.

The Seaside design is excellent for open air space. The Divina is the typical design that blocked in the promenade deck with life boats. The buffet area on 14 (or was that 15?) had very minimal space for outdoor eating. Zero outside eating aft. You could walk forward into the pool area for tables, but they weren't what I would consider open air because they had walls with windows (and the entire port side was absolutely filled with smoke). The Divina is a typical but bleak design for those of us who seek fresh air. She has other nice things to offer, but IMO fresh air isn't one of them.

Compared to the Seaside Class, Divina has very few open spaces.  In fact, there is no promenade deck, there is only a life boat deck which is not suitable for spending free time. There is also no possibility of outdoor dining, neither in the buffet, nor in any other restaurant, unless you are in the Yacht Club, which has a private Sundeck Bar and Grill as well as a private pool at the front of the ship. The advantage is that Divina has 3 pools, 2 of them are quite large, so in this matter it is even better than Seaside in my opinion. Nevertheless, Divina is a ship on which the interiors are more appealing then the outside areas. The decor of the interiors is very nice, by the way.
