We are planning a wedding in Santorini and our dates are farely open. We are trying to decide between these two ships. We are looking at concierge class and deluxe verandah. Any opinions out there? The Galaxy sails on Oct. 6 and the Millie on Nov. 10.

We were on the Millie this year Oct 25 - Nov. 7 (12 day) Venice to Barcelona. It was a fabulous cruise and we were pleased with the ship. We had beautiful weather in the high 60s the entire trip. Because of the short days and cooler weather at this time of year, balconies were not that useful. Sunrise occured while we were eating breakfast and while we were eating dinner (early seating). After the time change, sunset was about 5:00.

I have only been on the Millie and Constellation but I don't think you can go wrong with either the Millie or the Galaxy. If money is a concern, I would skip the fancy balcony room and go on the longer cruise. This is a port intensive cruise for sight seeing and you will want to tour every day you are in port (which is most days). Touring in Italy is not cheap.

Is time a consideration. When we cruise in Europe we always like to get there at least a day early.

Enjoy. This is a great cruise compared to the Carribean.

We are booked on the 10 day Galaxy in August. One reason we chose this itinerary was the round trip to Rome. If you have never been to Rome, part of one day is not enough. This is our third trip on the Galaxy and while we have a slight preference for the Millie class ships because of the huge thalassotherapy pool, we know that the Galaxy is a lovely ship.
