Road closure Port Everglades Ft. Lauderdale?

Hi - We will be staying at the Renaissance Ft. Lauderdale on 17th before our upcoming cruise and the Port directory says to take Eisenhower Drive

south from 17th St. However google maps shows it with a red circle with a white horizontal line which I thought

meant one way but could mean closed. See it on the map attached/ Does anyone know? Google maps routed us 17th to us 1 to 84 to eisenhower.

Take longer but I don't want to get stuck where we can't turnaround on a one way. I haven't seen it on any other map. Thanks!!

There is construction occurring in Port Everglade’s northern area that may be  requiring that the north (Eisenhower) entrance may be temporarily closed.

since the port entry is only about 200 feet off of the intersection of 17th Street and Port Everglades and there IS a place to go around the median if one needed to turn around, I wouldn’t worry about getting stuck on a one-way.

The southern entrance to the port is not affected by any of the construction and should be reliably open. That entrance gets more traffic, especially truck traffic, due to its proximity to the highway.

That icon is exactly where the mandatory security gate is located.  I didn't see anything on the official Port Everglades website (www.porteverglades.net) about street closures but I would give them a call a day or two in advance:  954-523-3404
