And just seen this on the P&O boards:

“𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗿𝘂𝗶𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗼-𝗮𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱

P&O Cruises president Paul Ludlow said: We are absolutely delighted with today’s announcement from the UK Government that international cruising can resume from the UK.”

Even better news!

Has anyone already sailed or currently sailing used Boots for their PCR Tests please?  They advise results are available within 48 hours - just wondered whether this timescale was met?  There are no reviews on Google that I can find so am presuming this suggests that no-one has had a problem receiving theirs.......yet.

Hi - my parents used Boots for their PCR tests for the July 17 sailing, as there were no Eurofins locations convenient for them. They had their tests on the Wednesday afternoon, results were emailed on Friday in plenty of time for the Saturday sailing.

Unfortunately despite testing negative they were forced to isolate having been in contact with someone who contracted covid, so were advised by Celebrity that they would not be allowed to board. Immediate refund given which was then transferred to a replacement booking on one of the new September sailings. They will be using the Boots service again for that new booking.

£85 each which Celebrity will reimburse (they haven't claimed yet though).

We were on the 17th July sailing and as we couldn't find a Eurofins test centre anywhere near us we booked with Boots. We had the test on  Wednesday 14th at 1pm and the results were emailed to us at 6pm the next day, Thursday 15th. We are in Oxfordshire and friends in Wales also had the Boots test and  received their results the day after the test. Excellent service from Boots and highly recommended, we will definitely use them again later this month for our next cruise.

I will be doing nothing from now until we leave for Southampton a week today.
Cannot afford to be pinged and told to isolate.
