Dry Dock for Granduer?

Forgive me if this has been asked and answered recently, but does anyone know if the Grandeur is scheduled to go into drydock this year and if so, when? And do you know if she is going to be stretched like the Enchantment? I was on the Enchantment in October and I think I recall Captain Per saying something about the Grandeur being dry docked and stretched, but I just can't recall. Thanks in advance.

I have heard RUMORS of late this year, but I have heard on ships from Loyalty Embassadors that it will be in 2007 some time.

 

I would be really suprised if it were this year because they have sailings booked full for the fall/early winter already.

I copied a previous post that listed a dry dock schedule. Grandeur was listed to go into dry dock 10/13/06 until 12/6/06 and it was listed that she would be stretched.

Thanks for the information! Currently I am on the 10/8 cruise (the last scheduled for the supposed dry dock) and am now wondering if I should cancel and rebook at a different time....................

We are on the 11/19 repo to NOLA. Yesterday they changed our itin somewhat. One day in Bermuda instead of two and adding Tortola. Kinda looks like they have no drydock in mind for 2006. On our January Brilliance cruise I had the opportunity to ask Captain Thomas Wildung of the Brilliance what he knew about a possible Grandeur drydock. He said not to worry.

If you have the chance to sail with Capt. Wildung, go for it. He runs a class operation.

Lisa, change your Grandeur sailing to 2006 and drop the "will be changed".

Very simply, at this time it does not appear that there will be any scheduled dry dock for Grandeur. All cruises throughout the fall are currently being sold.

With all the talk about the Grandeur going into drydock in October, 2006, we sent an email to RCI asking for a definite date. We were informed that the Grandeur will be going into drydock in May 2007. So my cruise of Oct 27th is still on. FYI.

Thanks for the info..........cancelled the Grandeur because I got a better deal on a longer cruise for less money - now going on the Radiance one month later - and to top it off I will be going with some friends.
