MSC back in Venice (but Marghera (Mainland)) instead of Monfalcone?

Today (October 16, 2021), MSC ORCHESTRA, is berthing at Marghera Terminal (Mainland).

Is this a final solution to replace the replacement Monfalcona with Venice Passenger Terminal Handling and bus transfer?

Thanks for any additional information.

HB ... Marghera has always been touted as the replacement, it is an Industrial port with no passenger facilities so while it may suffice in the short term there needs to be facilities built in order to remain taking cruise ships.

A bus trip will still be needed in to Venice unless water taxi's are also available though this is part of the problem in Venice.

I am asking specifically for MSC.

Since July you had to check-in in Venice and moved you by bus to Monfalcone.

From Monfalcone they offered various destinations to be dropped off.

Today the first MSC ship is calling Marghera and I would to know if this operation will stay or a single call for MSC.

HAL is going all the season already to Marghera.

MSC MAGNIFICA left Split, Croatia and showing as destination in AIS-signal: Porto Marghera.

MSC ORCHESTRA left Marghera and followed to the coastline Southbound until the end of the Lido-Island. Here she moved from the Laguna to the Adriatic Sea.

It looks like we are lucky: and we can see "a little" of Venice when sailing out and in from/to Venice instead of Monfalcone.

Originally (20 days before sailing) we had a time slot of 11:00 hrs - 12:00 hrs. But today we got new documents showing 09:50 hrs - 10:50 hrs - still at Venice Stazione Marittima

You still go there to be booked in and are then transferred to the ship.
