Intercruise Coach Travel -what are the rules if a passenger tests negative at port?

In view of the posts regarding the passengers travelling with Princess and P & O that were removed from their respective ships before sail away due to a positive case on their coach travelling to Southampton  - does anyone know what the situation is now? We are sailing with Cunard in January and took the coach travel as our benefit. Having travelled with Eavesway a few years ago we did not think that there would be a problem. I dont know all the details about the rejected passengers only what Ive read on other boards, but apparently it was Public Health that advised that all passengers were removed from the ship?

Any information anyone has about this or how this would affect us travelling with Intercruises to the ship, please let me know? Very concerned about the trip now and wondering if we should ditch it and drive instead?

You are correct in that PHE insisted that people travelling on the same coach as the person who tested positive had to leave the ship and return home by taxi at the cruise line's expense. I am not sure if this was an Intercruises coach but I did read today that as if Intercruises is part of the Cunard package then that rule does not apply. To verify that I think it will be worthwhile asking Cunard.

Now, more information is appearing. The information regarding Intercrusies might not be accurate as it appears the passengers sent home from Ventura last week were on an Intercrusies coach. A passenger is saying that social distancing was inadequate, the coach was full, the driver and some passengers did not wear a mask. If it were me I'd drive or use the train, even though having been on a train today full of non mask wearers, coughing and so full people had to stand you won't get turned away at the port. Trains are quiet during the week but heaving on Saturdays.
