Ridge, I really appreciate your info on all this. I saved a few of your pics and the explanation. I was definitely not in the right area. I DO recall seeing one of those stations, but with the weather we had, it didn't look like a very friendly swim out there. I MUST go back. Had some nice viewing when I snorkeled on Labadee a few years ago.

More great info...thanks. 😉  I'm thinking that even had I tried the areas described, with the wind and waves probably the visibility would have been crappy. Also, other people have told me you have to get there early. I doubt I got in the water much before 10:00. In this case, it wasn't so much that other swimmers disturbed the water but rather just the weather conditions.
