Requirements for kids to enter Italy

For anyone who cruise to Italy recently, where you able to get off the ship with young kids who are not yet eligible for the vaccine? I know the requirements will likely change in the next few months, but I don't understand the language on the embassy's website. It appears they are exempt from testing on exit and quarantine on arrival but can't enter unless they can provide proof of vaccination or recovery? That seems contradictory and appears to block anyone not eligible for the vaccine from entering at all? We will be arriving to 3 ports via cruise ship - so will we have to test for each port, or just for the first entry into Italy? Thanks in advance!

Family with non vaccinated kids can only go ashore with ship sponsored bubble tours.

I don't understand risking a kids life taking them 9n a cruise when they cannot be vaccinated

Glad I am on Princess who requires vaccinations for all passengers

Yikes… that’s pretty harsh. Let each family make their own decision based on their situation. Be kind - it’s tough out there !

In Italy at this time you need to show proof of vax to enter many tourist sites and restaurants

It is just not a great time to tr avel with young un vaccinated children
