Current Cruise Director (CD) List, starting 12-2021

Keeping track of cruise directors is very interesting.

I've been tracking the cruise director on Wonder.  Several people told me that Michele Scarpato left the ship to be with his wife and newborn kid.  A photographer onboard told me the AM has taken over.

I asked someone onboard right now to look into this.  Guest services told her that Michele was still onboard and that his wife was with him onboard too.

How do we reconcile information like this?  I'm putting this under "Subject to Confirmation."

According to Ricky,  Tom Hopkins will be on Oasis after Ricky moves back to Indy.  Anybody know anything about Tom Hopkins?  Was he a Norwegian cruise director previously?

I had Tom on Oasis over New Year - was OK but not overly impressed. Love & Marriage wasn't funny with him and was quite rushed really. Didn't attend Quest but heard he didn't do well with that either. But he got the job done I suppose, wasn't outright annoying. I feel like only the very best CDs shine on Oasis Class ships TBH. And yes, he is ex NCL.

 

The Activities Manager was more engaging. Ditto on Odyssey where Ana Ribeiro was CD, I didn't rate her but the AM was great. On both cruises, I thought the AM should have been promoted to CD.

I'm in communication with Victor and he is so appreciative of the positive feedback he's been getting.  I've been sending him screenshots of (good) comments about him.

John Blair (working with wife Katrina) seems to be a well-liked CD currently on Brilliance.

It was Orlando.  Victor was very visable around the ship throughout the day, always on time for activities and very friendly.  A lot of us onboard said that he would have been a better CD.  Loved his Tux t-shirt on Formal Nights!!

By some. He tries but is really not my style. I guess as a younger Brit, I'm far from his target audience.

Not sure... I just went down to Deck 4 where there's a photo collection of ship's management team, and it still shows Jeffrey Arpin as CD. When she introduced herself at the Welcome aboard show, she mentioned filling in but I didn't catch all the details. She's from Mexico and has a high-energy outgoing personality. Still don't know her last name, argh! 😟

I thought Ana was one of the best CDs ! So natural and friendly. Not fake like many of them!
