Waitlist vs wish list

A couple of our excursions on Sky Princess on January 8 have been cancelled due to “operational” reasons. Now the other excursions are full. I don’t see a waitlist option. Is wish list the same? I looked at some past threads from 2016 that even show conflicting answers back then. Any thoughts?

Wait list means you are signed up with Princess in case of an opening.

Wish list is just your list of tours you might be interested in
