Taking bus in Cabo

@dw64 It really depends on where you want to go.  The most likely tourist-related route would be along the coast to the center of San Jose del Cabo/airport.  You would need to check with the driver to make sure you got the right bus.  The trip to San Jose del Cabo takes about an hour depending on traffic.  There are stops along the way at the various resorts so it would be possible to stop at somewhere like at Chileno Bay (20-30 minutes?)  and walk to the beach.

Personally, I wouldn't want to do it as the tourist heart of Cabo San Lucas is around the marina and your time in port is somewhat limited.  My own use of the bus in Cabo is as a means of transportation to and from the airport when I don't have a car.

Good luck!
